Press release

YOC publishes preliminary figures for financial year 2015 / realignment begins to support revenue and gross income

Berlin, 31 March 2016 – YOC AG (ISIN DE0005932735) records about 7 % revenue growth to EUR 9.7 million on Group level in its IFRS figures for the past financial year (2014: EUR 9.1 million). The company thereby halts the negative revenue trend at annual level since 2012.

In the German-speaking market, revenue increased by 14 % year-on-year (2014: 16 %) to EUR 6.3 million (2014: EUR 5.6 million). Particularly in Austria, YOC was able to further expand its prominent market position. The German business showed a satisfying development.

Due to the unsatisfying development in Great Britain, the “Rest of Europe” region altogether shows a decline in revenue (2015: -3 % to EUR 3.4 million; previous year: EUR 3.5 million). The upward revenue trend of the Spanish subsidiary during the course of the year confirms the growing recognition on the market. The ambitious sales targets could however still not be reached in the past financial year.

In financial year 2015, YOC continued to further strengthen its position as a provider of premium mobile programmatic advertising. Especially the quickly changing leading market in Great Britain calls for innovative products. YOC thus continuously expanded its data-driven mobile ad solutions in the automated trade of mobile inventory. All in all, the development of products promising higher gross yields has a positive effect on revenue and earnings. The raw margin increased by 4 % to 33 % in the last two financial years (2013: 29 %; 2014: 32 %).

Operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) adjusted for positive one-off effects came to EUR -1.8 million. Due to non-operating effects at the completion of the restructuring measures, the reportable EBITDA amounted to EUR -1.1 million.

Dirk Kraus, YOC AG Management Board: “In financial year 2015 we laid a strong focus upon product development. We are looking forward to the possibilities that the programmatic business, which is of strategic importance, will hold for us in the future.”

YOC AG’s annual report 2015 will be published on 22 April 2016.
