In May 2001 a Porsche hung from a crane on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin with the message “Cash or Crash?!” – In just one week, around 100k mobile phone users voted via text whether the cash value of the Porsche should be raffled or the car should be dropped. Finally, it fell to a depth of more than 50 meters. We realized the power of mobile and how you could reach out and engage with people. That’s when YOC – ‘Your Opinion Counts’ – was born.
Back then ‘Your Opinion Counts’ was the slogan describing YOC’s business: Reaching people on their mobile devices and providing them with the information, they were really interested in.
Not much has changed since then. Our vision remains the same – reaching people on their most personal device, entertaining and inspiring them and generating a desire for new products and brands. Technology has changed rapidly however and YOC has successfully progressed and evolved every step of the way: The change from mobile to smartphones, from SMS to WhatsApp, from standard banners to engaging formats. Best mobile-first advertising is what drives us to develop new products and solutions every day.
Being one of the first Mobile Advertising IPOs in 2006, YOC has remained a young company with a flat hierarchy and dynamic working culture. We now have 80+ employees across seven European sites, striving to make a useful and sustainable contribution to the advertising market.
Fascinated by the posibilities of the advertising industry, Dirk Kraus founded YOC in 2001. His idea of connecting users and brands through mobile devices became a reality with YOC. As one of the very first entrepreneurs in mobile advertising, he facilitated in shaping the mobile advertising industry to what it has evolved into today. After completing his studies, at the renowned WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management, Dirk gained several years of experience in strategy development at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Since then, Dirk positioned YOC as one of the leading providers in the market - his next mission is to establish VIS.X® as the renowned platform for highly effective programmatic advertising.
In his position as CTO, Evgenij Tovba oversees the global technology strategy of YOC. He leads the teams of tech-geniuses that are responsible for the development of the company's advertising and programmatic products as well as proprietary technology, IT operations and product marketing. Evgenij – mostly known as Jeff – plays a key role in YOC's strategic shift to become a digital ad tech player and the development and implementation of the VIS.X® platform.
Managing Director YOC Mobile Advertising GmbH
As Managing Director, Jan Gräwen and his sales force in Berlin and Düsseldorf have established YOC as one of the biggest players for Mobile Advertising in Germany. Formerly in senior management positions at Ströer and YOC, Jan's vision today is to further develop his teams and operations to be as dynamic as the market itself and to implement the programmatic transformation without compromising on quality, service or creativity.
Managing Director YOC CEE GmbH
Maximilian Pruscha established YOC as the leading mobile advertising player in Austria. Under his leadership as Managing Director of YOC CEE, he executed Austria's very first mobile advertising campaign. In 2017 alone almost 1000 campaigns have been successfully fulfilled. He and his team regularly win awards for best reliability and implementation of the most creative campaigns. Max's approach is not only to constantly grow his team and operations in Austria, but also to extend YOC's business to other eastern European countries.
Country Manager YOC Poland
With several years of working experience in the advertising and mobile industry, Country Manager of YOC Poland, Wojciech Nowanski took up the challenge to establish the company's operations in this new market. With market insights and technical know-how, Wojciech and his team managed to establish an impressive and sustainable growth. He is recognized for his speed of execution and quality of service.
As the YOC Group's Director Finance, Sebastian Bauermann is running the financial management of the company. Sebastian excels at budget planning, investment controlling, treasury management and process controlling. His daily work includes internal reporting to the board of directors and the supervisory board. Besides managing the SAP enterprise resource planning system applied by YOC, Sebastian is also a stakeholder of our platform and UI development team.

As Director Human Resources Jenny Pippow and her team are continuously working on growing HR measures in the same way that YOC operates: individually tailored, future-driven and with a focus on high quality. Bringing in her experience from working for Google and her specialization in working with young professionals, Jenny knows how to create an inspiring and motivating work environment that drives each employee to be at the top of their game. Jenny's mission is to guide the further international expansion of YOC on the HR side.

In her role as Director Human Resources, Belinda Topp works together with her team on a sustainable and innovative corporate culture and is responsible for the implementation of HR concepts. As an experienced HR all-rounder, Belinda focuses on supporting the company's goals in terms of personnel and acting as a strategic partner. Her vision is to integrate the company values (Inspire-Progress-Connected) into the daily work routine, to live them actively and thus create a motivating and open working atmosphere.
