Head of Engineering (m/f/x)

The Role:

You are responsible to inspire, shape and lead our engineering team across several units and countries. You will ensure a smooth, reliable, and diligent software delivery organization that ships excellent, performant and working products in a timely manner. In particular, you will be in charge of:

• Manage and lead our engineering team to deliver outstanding software that people love to use and that contribute to achieving our mission – creating a better advertising experience for everyone
• Support and coach your tech and team leads with your expertise in shipping code in time and scope
• Together with our CTO you develop the technology vision and strategy for the YOC group and then plan and execute with your team
• You and your team work closely with product managers and product owners to come up with product requirements that are backed by a scalable, resilient, and sustainable software architecture
• You promote and shape our culture and values, putting emphasis on teamwork, delivery, and continuous improvement

Your Profile:

• With at least 10 years of hands-on experience in engineering you have used a broad range of front-/backend technologies in a cloud infrastructure environment
• You gained at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position and already implemented processes to establish and maintain an engineering organization
• With your analytical, decision making and prioritization skills you can structure a problem definition, come up with a scalable solution and ensure the delivery with one or more teams
• You feel comfortable working in a dynamic environment overseeing several projects and platforms in parallel – eventually in a remote environment
• You are fluent in English, additional knowledge of other languages is a plus
• Our technical stack is PHP, GCP, Kubernetes, MySQL, Restful API, TypeScript, React
